Our Jack-O-Lanterns

These are our pumpkins. I've been through alot of ups and downs with them. Mom thought I would like them, which I did...as cute little vegetables in our house. Little did I know that I would soon be subjected to my mother sticking a knife into one of them and cutting a hole in it. This made me weep. Huge tears.
The next day I was further horrified to walk out of the house and find all four pumpkins with big holes in their faces! I collapsed into a heap of tears right there on the sidewalk. I've had sometime to adjust, now, and don't mind them as long as I steer wide around them when coming and going. I know my mother didn't mean to upset me, but next year, I hope my parents just leave them alone...
