You may have seen on the news that a state of emergency was declared in Whatcom County. So much melting snow, plus days of relentless rain have caused some major flooding. Even the schools were shut down. Just a half mile away from us, in two different directions, there was water so deep it was pouring into the winodws of parked cars. Yikes. Luckily, we're a bit higher up and only have this lake to deal with...
