Subdued Stringband Jamboree
Last weekend we headed out for three days and two nights to the Subdued Stringband Jamboree.
We camped with friends out on the Deming Log Show grounds and listened to string bands from near and far for two days straight.
It was amazing. All kinds of folks turned up to sing, dance, play and camp in buses, cars, tents, etc. There was a circus guild (from our neighborhood), games for kids, yummy local food vendors, and music until the wee hours of the morning, and a gospel sing-along Sunday morning. Sissy and I happily surprised Mom and Dad each night by falling asleep peacefully on a blanket under the stars so they could stay late and hear the tunes.
Add this to the list of annual family traditions...
PS Everybody names their camp. Ours, as you can tell, was called Huckleberry Hollow
