ezra and liza's blog

We're Ezra and Liza Jane. This our blog. It's where you can see what we've been up to lately. I'm Ezra. I love Mom, Dad, Sissy, playing outside, reading stories, soccer, building things, legoes and tigers. I'm Liza Jane. This is my blog, too. I love Mom, Dad, Ya Ya (Ezra), school, stories, being silly, dancing to music, taking care of my babies and showing off my big vocabulary.

All Aboard!

My Grandma and Grandpa gave Uncle Michael and Papa nice matted copies of a photograph of the three Price brothers when they were little boys dressed up as train engineers. Then they surprised me and Owen these old engineer outfits...the original ones that Grandma made back when the boys were small. She had to spend quite a bit of time washing them and sewing together parts that hadn't weathered time too well, but the finished products were as good as new. Pretty cool. I think Owen and I look pretty dapper, don't you?

Dancing Man

Dancing Man was a gift from Grandma and Grandpa Price. He's pretty neat. No one can get his feet tapping better than my Aunt Jennifer, though. She had the whole room howling with laughter when she surprised us all with her keen talent for backwoods Appalachian skills.

Home Repairs

When I was down at my aunt and uncle's this weekend I noticed that their door needed a few adjustments. I spent quite a bit of time down on the floor straightening things out with my tools. I was thrilled to get a helping hand from my Cousin Owen, too.

Christmas Morning

I enjoyed coming downstairs to discover Santa had left me a few things in my stocking. It was fun watching Owen and Finn see what Santa brought them, too. Here, I'm opening up what turned out to be a neat little book. As you can see, Owen, Finn and I were good little boys this year!

My Papa enjoyed his own little gift Christmas morning... Sleeping in for two and half hours. He must have been a good boy, too.

Eighth Night, Part Two

We postponed the last night of Channukah until we got to Portland so that we could celebrate with Grandma and Grandpa Price, Uncle Mike and Aunt Jen, and Cousins Owen and Finn. Here are a few shots of me lighting the menorah with Mama and of my Big Cousin Owen looking on.

Eighth Night

Tonight is the last night of Channukah. However, since we are about to leave for Portland we decided to postpone the last night until tomorrow so we can celebrate it with the Price family. So stay tuned until tomorrow...

Until then, enjoy this shot of our Christmas tree. My Mom says I am part of an Interfaith household so I get to celebrate Christmas AND Channukah. Wow! How'd I get so lucky?

Fifth, Sixth and Seventh Nights

We've been awfully busy trying to get ready to head down to Portland on Friday, so we haven't posted for a few days. I've still been enjoying my Channukah, though. Today I went over to my friend Sawyer's house for a while to play with he and his sister Frannie. It was great. Here you can see Sawyer and I hanging out in his room trying to decide whose hair is crazier...

Fourth Night

I've been enjoying playing with my dreidels for the past few days. The letters on them, "nun," "gimmel," "hey," and "shin" stand for "nes," "gadol," "haya," "sham," which means "A great miracle happenned there."

Happy Channukah!

Third Night

Tonight I got to celebrate the third night of Channukah with my Grandma and Grandpa. It was a lot of fun. I enjoyed playing with some new toys with them and having some new bedtime stories before bed.

Second Night

Tonight we went to the Annual Bronstein Channukah Party. It's the biggest Holiday To-Do in Bellingham. Everyone was there. I spent some time talking to the Dean of Science and Technology at WWU and we even saw the Superintendent of Bellingham Public Schools when we were leaving. I really enjoyed eating potato latkes with applesauce. I also enjoyed picking the pomegranate seeds out of a salad that Mama and Papa were eating which they thought was pretty funny. I couldn't get enough of them. I spent a lot of time following a little boy named Ben up and down the stairs and spying on the bigger kids playing dreidel and hanging out upstairs.

So far I think Channukah is pretty cool.

Santa Claus

While I do enjoy listening to my parents tell me about this jolly fellow, I wasn't as keen on actually approaching him. Maybe next year...

First Night

Tonight I celebrated the first night of Channukah with my Mama and Papa. I had a lot of fun. We lit the menorah and I played dreidel with Mama. Since it was Friday night we made our traditional Friday pizza and I enjoyed picking off the olives to eat first. We also opened a few presents. I got a few new books which I enjoyed as my bedtime stories tonight. What a great night.

With What Little Remains...

I had fun poking at the last remnants of our snowman yesterday with his carrot nose. Today, after warmer weather and some rain, he is just a memory.
