We're Ezra and Liza Jane. This our blog. It's where you can see what we've been up to lately. I'm Ezra. I love Mom, Dad, Ya Ya (Ezra), school, stories, being silly, dancing to music, taking care of my babies and showing off my big vocabulary.

At Larabee With Dad

These are some shots from last weekend when I went to the beach with Mom and Dad. We had fun walking in the sand, looking at birds, and especially skipping rocks. Dad gave me some good lessons on how to really skip them well.

Zoom in on the third shot by clicking on it and I'm sure you'll agree that my form is quite unique. It does send a lot of sand down the back of your diaper, but it has style.

With Mom At The Beach

Play Dough

I got some Play Dough for Christmas from my cousins Owen and Finn.

I think I'm getting pretty good, don't you? With a little help from Dad, of course...

More Rudy James

We brought dinner over to the Zurcher/Cullen's last night. I can't believe how much bigger Rudy James has gotten already!

What a cutie.

My Buddy, Jay

These are some old pictures of me with my friend Jay at school back when we used to hide behind the rocking chairs together and giggle and constantly battle for pretty Madison's attention. We didn't have any newer ones, but he and I have been in the same room at daycare for almost 2 years now. He's the sweetest, jolliest little guy you'll ever meet.

We're putting them up here on my blog because Jay's family just found out that he has a very advanced cancerous tumor in his body. It spans from his stomach up into his chest and to his eye. He's down at Children's Hospital now getting the care he needs. Mom said when I was in the hospital she and Dad were overwhelmed by the support that we got from friends and family and from the number of people who said they held us in their thoughts and prayers.

We thought by putting Jay's picture up here you might remember to think of him or say a prayer that he gets better soon. We're praying that his family gets to celebrate his good health very soon.

His family has made a blog where you could see some more recent pictures of him and learn about what's happenning at www.prayforjayellis.com.

I miss you at school, Jay, come back soon.

At The Zoo

I got to spend the weekend with my family down in the Seattle area this weekend because my Aunt Lauren and Uncle Adam made a surprise visit from New York.

So, we went to the zoo.

I really liked the orangutans ("rangietans"), the otters, the bears, the elephants ("effants"), the snow leopard and my personal favorite...the tapirs. Upon seeing them I exclaimed, "heh, heh...tapirs funny!" I continued to say this for the duration of our zoo visit.

Well, think about it...they are. And I'm sure they were glad to be sombody's favorite for once.

Date Night

Tonight was the first night of Date Night. It means that every Friday, now, I get to have a date with my friend Ke'ala. This week, our date was at my house and Ke'ala's parents went out to eat. Next week, I go over to Ke'ala's house while my Mommy and Daddy have a date.

It was a lot of fun. I really liked showing Ke'ala my toys and showing her how far I could throw a ball. She liked looking at my cats, dancing to music and reading stories.

I can hardly wait until next Friday...

Happy Day!

Valentine's Day and I had to stay home from school sick. I'm feeling better, now, though. I had a fun time this morning at home with my Daddy and enjoyed greeting Mommy with these flowers and card when she come home early from work to be with me. Daddy had coached me to say "Happy Valentine's Day," but I shortened it to "HAPPY day" (with the emphasis on happy). In fact, I enjoyed telling everyone "HAPPY Day" throughout the rest of the afternoon.

We couldn't take a picture of the handmade chocolates Mommy and I gave Daddy because he ate them all.

HAPPY Day to you!

A Style Of My Own

I'm almost two now and I have some strong opinions about the way I'd like to do things. It's important to assert my individuality. Take this outfit, for example...hood on the inside, hat on the outside.

I think it might catch on...

Rudy James Zurcher

We had the honor of going over to my friend Ana's house tonight to meet her new little brother. He was born yesterday at home and weighed 11 pounds 8 ounces. Can you believe that?! What a big baby boy. He is chubby and soft and sweet as can be and very lucky to have such a great big sister.

The Tower

Three Bear Nap

I've always felt that the quality of a nap should be judged by the number of bears who join you. Don't you?
