ezra and liza's blog

We're Ezra and Liza Jane. This our blog. It's where you can see what we've been up to lately. I'm Ezra. I love Mom, Dad, Sissy, playing outside, reading stories, soccer, building things, legoes and tigers. I'm Liza Jane. This is my blog, too. I love Mom, Dad, Ya Ya (Ezra), school, stories, being silly, dancing to music, taking care of my babies and showing off my big vocabulary.

Jack's Ball

Out our back door and across our alley live a nice family of five: Mom, Dad, identical nine year old twin sisters and one boy, age 7.

I have long since been fascinated with Jack.

My radar ears can pick up his voice long before anyone else's and I'm at the door begging to go outside and see what this guy is up to. I like to get as close as I can to the action and then just stare at Jack and whatever he's doing...planting flowers with his Mom, kicking a soccer ball with his friend Spencer, riding his bike up and down the alley. He's quite a nice boy and always takes time to come and talk to me, even when the other older boys aren't interested.

Today, when I walked down the street to try and spot Daddy riding his bike home from work, I was delighted to find Jack and his friends, Nick and Spencer, parked on the corner of our street with a small wooden table, peddling their wares. They had a small collection of no longer wanted toys and items they had taken (hopefully asking first) from their kitchens and were selling them at reasonable prices. Jack, had a wonderful collapsable ball for the bargain price of 50 cents and I clutched it eagerly waiting for Dad to come home with, what I hoped would be 50 cents in his wallet.

He did and now I am the proud owner of Jack's ball, which I refer to as such, and which I have been playing with for most of the evening. I even took it grocery shopping with me earlier this evening.

Pillow Fort

Today was a very special day. My Dad let me in on a little secret, one of the great joys of childhood... The Pillow Fort!

I went round and round this thing until I made my Mom dizzy.

Aunt Aimee and Uncle Steve might not be so impressed with these shots documenting the misuse of their couch.

Sorry.

Happy March First!

Welcome to the Pacific Northwest, home of rather unpredictable weather.

Bellingham School District...two hours delayed.

I keep running from room to room shouting, 'Snowman, Snowman!" Last time it snowed there was a huge one in my yard when I got up from my nap. I wonder when and where this guy will finally show up today?

I'm still waiting...
