ezra and liza's blog

We're Ezra and Liza Jane. This our blog. It's where you can see what we've been up to lately. I'm Ezra. I love Mom, Dad, Sissy, playing outside, reading stories, soccer, building things, legoes and tigers. I'm Liza Jane. This is my blog, too. I love Mom, Dad, Ya Ya (Ezra), school, stories, being silly, dancing to music, taking care of my babies and showing off my big vocabulary.

Merry Christmas!

We left the usual cookies, milk and carrots out last night and went to get ready for bed. We were treated to some carolers before we hit the hay and went to sleep with visions of sugar plums dancing in our heads (thanks to aimee, steve, maya and ian!).
Christmas day began EARLY with some fun presents from Santa and also from family and friends. Thanks, everybody.
After a long afternoon walk we topped things off with a big meal.
Pretty good day.
Merry Christmas!

Ye Olde Christmas Faire

We visited Ye Olde Christmas Faire in Ferndale, WA.
A whole bunch of actual homestead cabins have been moved into a big field and set up inside with antiques as authentically as possible. In one building, a traditional one room schoolhouse, you could write letters to Santa. In another, an authentic post office, you mailed them. There was a print shop, an apothecary, a barn, a church, etc. Most of the buildings had tasty treats to eat or crafts to make.
At one stop we even got a visit with the big guys himself.
After listening to some carolers we finished off the night with a horse drawn carriage ride.
It was pretty cool.

Happy Channukah!

It's been a good one. We had a fun evening with Grandma and Grandpa, friends over for latkes, a few presents, and a big party at the synagogue.

Tonight we'll get to light all nine candles and enjoy the beautiful menorah for one last time this year.

Happy Channukah!
