First Camping Trip

I went on my first camping trip last weekend. Not bad for 9 weeks old, eh? It was a lot of fun. We camped overnight at Padilla Bay with about 10 other families. There were about 20 adults and 20+ kids at a big group campsite and it was WILD! Big brother and I had a blast playing on the beach, running along the trails, playing games in the big field, roasting marshmallows by the fire and sleeping in our tent. The adults enjoyed a nice quiet evening around the campfire ...at around 10:30 when all the kids were finally asleep at the same time...except for my friend Ana. She sure can rally.

One thing we didn't do was take many pictures, but here are a few goofy ones to give you a taste of our big outdoor adventure.

Political Activist

We've been practicing letters a lot and I'm getting quite good with them. I know the letters of "Ezra," "Mommy," and "Daddy." I know "O" is for Owen and a few others, as well.

So, I guess it shouldn't have been such a surprise when I noticed this sign in our yard and said, "Look, Mama, O-B-A-M-A."

Today was my last day of school until next fall. It was bittersweet. I'm excited to spend the whole summer with my family, but will really miss my friends and teachers.
