We're Ezra and Liza Jane. This our blog. It's where you can see what we've been up to lately. I'm Ezra. I love Mom, Dad, Sissy, playing outside, reading stories, soccer, building things, legoes and tigers. I'm Liza Jane. This is my blog, too. I love Mom, Dad, Ya Ya (Ezra), school, stories, being silly, dancing to music, taking care of my babies and showing off my big vocabulary.

A Belated Happy Eight Days

We meant to post these a few days ago but a sick little Liza Jane has gotten us all a bit preoccupied. Hopefully, her flu will be gone soon and life will be back to normal.

Anyways, here are some shots from our last night of Channukah,.

Happy Fourth Night

We've got two holidays going on at our house. So, happy fourth night of Channukah to you...

Snowman

Here I am helping make our snowman. Unfortunately, we forgot to take a picture of him. Hopefully, he won't melt too much in the rain and we can snap a shot tomorrow...

Neil

I found this guy somewhere in the house the other day.

I call him Neil.

Mom and Dad seem to find that amusing. They said something about Neil parting the waters of the Red Sea years ago and getting an important e-mail or something from God...

Anyhow, he's been pretty fun to play with.

Happy Channukah!

We've been enjoying a snowy Chanukah here in Bellingham. We've had some yummy food, fun times on the snow, Liza Jane's first menorah candles and a few little presents, too. I've quite enjoyed this recorder from Grandma and Grandpa and Sissy can't seem to get in enough time gnawing on this stuffed dreidel. She dragged it around the house with her most of the day...

Sledding

What a lovely day for sledding at Broadway Park. Daddy and I took quite a few runs together. Mom took a few, too, and so did Sissy. Iif you zoom in on the last shot you can see her.

Stopping By Our Alley On A Snowy Evening

Hopefully there are a few Robert Frost fans out there...

Snow

We've had quite the weather here, lately, as have many of the rest of you. We've tried hard to make the best of it, but with the temperatures in the low teens, trips outside have been few and brief.

Here's a shot from a quick little jaunt earlier...

Grandma's Holiday Sugar Cookies

We meant to post these the other day, but forgot.

I sure was invested in this year's batch of holiday cookies. I helped make the dough, rolled it out methodically and cut out so many different Christmas and Channukah shapes. I even threw in a few Cinnamon Bears. Then when they came out of the oven I had a blast decorating them. I made up a little story as I went along about how the Cinnamon Bear was running a marathon so people came out to ring the bells for him as they passed by. Mom thought Aunt Jenner and Uncle Michael might especially appreciate that.

Anyhow...they're all gone now!

Jingle Bell Run For Arthritis

Today Mommy and I did the Jingle Bell Run for Arthrits. It was very cold out, but I enjoyed getting bundled up, hearing all the bells, riding along in the stroller and most of all the band at the end.

Gingerbread

Today we went to the annual Gingerbread competition at the Bellingham Ferry Terminal.

All week Mom and I had been planning this little surprise for my Daddy.

You see, at school last week our class, The Teddy Bear Room, made part of our school's entry into the annual competition. We made and decorated the engine of this fine looking train. The Rainbow Room made the back half of the train. When I found out it would be on display at the festival I decided it would be fun to bring my Dad and surprise him with our creation.

Boy was he!

And so were we, actually, when I saw that we had won first prize in our age division.

While at the festival we also enjoyed hot apple cider, carolers, watching the horse drawn carriage rides and doing some holiday crafts.
